Safety Briefing

What this specific route demands of you, and what we put in place to cover it.

Read carefully

Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) risk at 13,750 ft

This itinerary crosses 13,750 ft, where oxygen is roughly 30% thinner than at sea level. Your captain records SpO₂ and pulse twice daily, and the schedule builds in acclimatisation before every high camp. Report headache, nausea, or breathlessness immediately — descending early is always the right call.

Covered by us

Emergency oxygen & portable altitude chamber

Every high-altitude batch carries sealed oxygen cylinders, a pulse oximeter, and a comprehensive high-altitude medical kit. Evacuation routes to the nearest road head are mapped for each camp before departure.

Covered by us

NIM & ABVIMAS certified expedition leaders

Every batch is led by a mountaineering-institute graduate with wilderness first-aid certification. The leader-to-traveller ratio never exceeds 1:8 on technical sections.

Covered by us

24/7 operations desk & emergency contact tree

Your captain checks in with our central ops desk at fixed intervals. Emergency contacts you provide at booking are called directly if you are out of network for longer than expected.

Good to know

Travel insurance strongly recommended

Insurance is not included in the trip cost. We strongly recommend a policy covering high-altitude adventure activity and emergency evacuation. Your captain can share the details insurers usually ask for.

24/7 Ghumantu Operations Desk
Reachable before, during and after your 7-day expedition — including for the family you leave behind.
